Looking for a fun introductory course for your child to learn how to ride a bike? Come join Tim, RPS Safe Routes to School coordinator, in a fun and engaging 4-day camp for kids age 5-8. Using balance bikes, this camp will help your child improve their riding skills, balance and coordination. During this camp we will be using a Traffic Garden (more information below on what this is) to help learn bike handling skills such as steering, stopping and how to ride safely. Balance bikes and helmets will be borrowed out each class. Please wear appropriate clothing/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle with the child's name on it. This course is available at a discounted rate, thanks to funding from the Safe Routes to School Coordinator grant.
Traffic Garden is a set of small-sized streets with scaled-down traffic features and urban elements where children and other new learners practice using streets in a place that is free from motor vehicles
