  • Chili Night with your Instant Pot

    In this live online class we will demonstrate Easy Weeknight Chili, Turkey Verde Chili, and Vegan Quinoa Chili, along with Instant Pot “Baked” Potatoes and Loaded Cornbread. We’ll also discuss how you can adapt your favorite recipe for pressure cooker use. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can follow along at your convenience.

  • Classic Soups and Famous Stews

    Create some of the best hearty soups including New England clam chowder, wild rice, pumpkin, split pea with ham and corn bisque with rosemary. Top it off with the very famous French beef stew in red wine (boeuf bourguignon). What could be better for an easy meal during the winter weather? Soup, salad and some great bread! Bring containers to bring home leftovers. Supply fee of $15 cash paid to instructor at class.
  • Magnificent Muffins and Popovers

    Serve freshly baked breads in less than an hour! Whether for a memorable weekend breakfast, brunch, teatime, to accompany a salad/soup or for another occasion, hot-from-your-oven treats are wonderful. Muffins (and their larger sized quick breads) may be sweet or savory. Popovers are perfect to serve alone or insert our favorite filling to create a special meal. We will feature remarkable recipes to taste in class and take home! Recipes include: blueberries, cinnamon crunch, bran-corn, dried cherry, fresh ginger, golden raisin, maple sour cream, sliced fresh lemon plus flavored butters and a variety of glazes/toppings. A supply fee of $13 will be payable to the instructor.

In this class you will learn 2 easy mole recipes, Red which is a dark red or brown and green sauce served over meat. Recipes made in class can be adapted to your spice preference.     From the northern countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, we will create an assortment of superb entrees and desserts balanced with a soup and salad but NO lutefisk! Dishes may include: apple stuffed pork loin, Swedish meatballs, salmon with dill and lemon, cold poached Salmon, carrot casserole, spinach soup, pineapple beet salad and cheese sticks. Delicious desserts may include rice pudding, toska cake, Finnish nut logs, raspberry ribbons, oatmeal wafers and a famous fruit soup. Perfect for a date night or a night out with friends.     Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Peppers) is a staple in Mexican cooking and a favorite of many at restaurants. Now you can learn how to make them at home. This classic dish is made from roasting mild poblano peppers and stuffing them with cheese or meat. The stuffed peppers are dipped into a fluffy egg batter and fried until golden and the cheese inside is melted and gooey. Offered in partnership with MIRA. People from regions such as France, Germany, Senegal, Cuba and Nova Scotia contributed to the medley of flavors using the wealth of local seafood, vegetables, poultry, livestock, and of course pecans. Join us in creating a memorable meal to include: Crab Dip, traditional Cheese Straws, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Red Beans and Rice, Buttermilk Biscuits, Cheese Grits, Pecan Praline candy, and traditional Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce.
