  • 3D Printing: Poké Monsters

    Become a Pokémon Master of 3D Design! Design your own unique 3D Pokémon using TinkerCAD. Explore your creativity and experiment with SimLab and create themed video games. Learn the basics of CAD modeling and design software. One of your designed creatures will be 3D printed and sent home. Printing and material fees are included. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. This camp is not affiliated with them. If you are signed up for both a morning and an afternoon enrichment class during this week, your child will be supervised over the lunch hour. Please send them with a bag lunch each day.
  • Pokémon-Inspired Game Coding

    In this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your FAVORITE Pokémon-inspired characters. Students will be walked through step-by-step tutorials to create 2-4 working games and animations using popular themed sprites. With time remaining, students will be challenged to modify or improve the games created in class. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. This camp is not affiliated with them.   • Lifeguard Training

    Get certified to work as a lifeguard! Learn the skills to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our course will arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. You will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drowning and injuries. We are able to offer this class free through a Lifeguard Grant from Hennepin County. Co-sponsored with City of Richfield. COURSE PREREQUISITES: *Participants must be 15 years old by the last day of class and able to: Complete a 300-yard swim using front crawl or breaststroke, retrieve a 10-pound brick from 7-10 feet of water, and tread water for two minutes without using hands. There will be approximately 7.5 hours of pre-study necessary prior to class start. ¡Certifíquese para trabajar como salvavidas! PRERREQUISITOS DEL CURSO:*Los participantes deben de tener 15 años antes del último día de clase y ser capaces de: Nadar 300 yardas estilo crol o pecho, recuperar un ladrillo que pesa 10 libras que esté sumergido a 7-10 pies de profundidad, y flotar en el agua dos minutos sin usar las manos. Es como requisito tener 7.5 horas de pre-estudio antes de poder empezar la clase.
