Olympic Style Swimming - Level 1Summer Olympic Style Swim LessonsSwim lessons based on the Olympic Style program will teach children proper swimming technique for the four fundamental swim strokes. Water safety will be taught while giving children the confidence to swim independently. Students must be able to listen and follow directions. Beginner students should be able to stand in 3.5 feet of water with their mouth and nose out of the water. This class is for children ages 5-17 who cannot swim for 30 feet, or are nervous about going under water. Olympic Style Swimming - Level 3Summer Olympic Style Swim LessonsSwim lessons based on the Olympic Style program will teach children proper swimming technique for the four fundamental swim strokes. Water safety will be taught while giving children the confidence to swim independently. Students must be able to listen and follow directions. This class is for children ages 5-17 who can front crawl with face in the water most of the time, and the back crawl for the length of the pool (hips may be a bit low and arms a bit bent). Lessons will be taught primarily in deep water. The kids will create pets galore! At this camp we will work with clay, paint and draw too! No trips to the pet store are required. Pokémon-Inspired Game CodingEnrichment for YouthIn this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your FAVORITE Pokémon-inspired characters. Students will be walked through step-by-step tutorials to create 2-4 working games and animations using popular themed sprites. With time remaining, students will be challenged to modify or improve the games created in class. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. This camp is not affiliated with them. We provide a play-based developmentally appropriate Four Star Parent Aware curriculum to enhance your child’s learning. Preschool AdventuresEnrichment for YouthAge 3-5 Come Learn! Move! and Play- Indoors & Outdoors! Register for one or many of these sessions taught by our very own Early Childhood Instructor. Each session will focus on a different theme. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom- will there be enough room? We will create projects based on this classic book and make learning fun! Come learn all about letters and the sounds each letter makes. Dinosaurs- Learn the different types of dinosaurs, what they eat & how big/small they were! Wonders of Water- Discover the wonders of water, what makes it evaporate, how does it freeze and melt, what sinks and floats? We may get a little wet! Gardening- Exploring dirt and seeds while learning about the life cycle of plants. We will plant our own seed that we will watch grow and be able to take home. Children must be toilet trained unless a previously granted medical/developmental exemption applies. Children must be wearing underwear. Richfield Marching SpartansYouth Programs2024 Richfield High School "Marching Spartans" MARCHING BAND OPEN HOUSE: Wednesday, March 12th, 3:30 - 5:00pm @ Richfield Middle School Band Room Come to learn more details about participating in marching band. Open to all students currently in grades 6-12. Richfield High School has had a tradition of excellence in Marching Band, every year since the school opened in 1954. We are excited to continue to build on that tradition this coming season! All students currently in grades 6-12 are welcome and encouraged to participate. Rehearsals begin in March and the performance season is mid-June through July 4th. Performances include 8-10 competitive parades and special events throughout the State. Transportation, Instruction, Equipment, Instruments, Uniform and Accessories are included with registration fee. Financial support for the participation fee is available by request to the director. Registration is required prior to participation.
