Early Childhood Family Education classes are offered in Richfield at the Central Education Center. Fees are based on a sliding scale, and no one is turned away for inability to pay!

Come to learn more details about participating in marching band. Open to all students currently in grades 6-12.
Richfield High School has had a tradition of excellence in Marching Band, every year since the school opened in 1954. We are excited to continue to build on that tradition this coming season! All students currently in grades 6-12 are welcome and encouraged to participate. Rehearsals begin in March and the performance season is mid-June through July 4th. Performances include 8-10 competitive parades and special events throughout the State. Transportation, Instruction, Equipment, Instruments, Uniform and Accessories are included with registration fee. Financial support for the participation fee is available by request to the director. Registration is required prior to participation.

RICHFIELD MARCHING SPARTANS SCHEDULE: A complete calendar of rehearsals and summer events can be found here.
Rehearsals: Beginning Mid-March at RHS, Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:00-8:00pm and some Saturday mornings.
Performances: Mid-June through July 4th.
Outside of the marching arts, Michael has a 25-year career in brand marketing, advertising and communications working for organizations like Target Corporation, Boston Scientific and Weber Shandwick.
Chad Armbruster has enjoyed a career spanning over 30 years in all facets of the pageantry arts; performer, instructor, designer, director, clinician and adjudicator. Armbruster holds a Music Education degree from the University of Minnesota and Masters of Arts in Education degree from Hamline University. His success in supporting diverse music programs led to an invitation to serve the Minnesota Department of Education as a member of the Academic Arts Standards review committee, 2018. Armbruster has held a variety of leadership roles with the following organizations: Minnesota Brass, Southwind, Blue Stars, Madison Scouts, Spirit of Atlanta, Eastview HS, Anoka HS, Champlin Park HS, St. Francis, HS, and Henry Sibley HS. Armbruster is currently the Director of Bands at Richfield HS. He serves as Judge Coordinator for Youth In Music, and is an active pageantry arts adjudicator for organizations throughout the United States, including Bands of America and Drum Corps International. Chad Armbruster lives in Minneapolis with his wife Ellen, their son Walter, and daughter Vienna.
