Early Childhood Family Education classes are offered in Richfield at the Central Education Center. Fees are based on a sliding scale, and no one is turned away for inability to pay!

Basic water safety and five levels of swim instruction.
Whether you are an absolute beginner or someone who once learned to crochet and have forgotten how, this class is for you! We start at the beginning, looking at tools and yarn. You will learn chain stitch, slip stitch, single, half double and double crochet, increasing and decreasing and how to read patterns and diagrams. You will make a dishcloth, scarf, granny squares and a small stuffed animal.
Required supply list: (Note: Occasionally classes are canceled due to low enrollment. You will need to purchase a couple of additional skeins of yarn and additional hooks in other sizes for projects as the class progresses, but it will be discussed in class. Stores frequently sell kits with a range of crochet hook sizes which may save you a bit on the cost of the individual hooks. If you find a kit that covers the size range from H through K, it would be a good investment.
