See a Frank Lloyd Wright design gas station Tour the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation, where we will tour the first church built for Ojibwe people in Minnesota Travel through one of Minnesota’s most scenic parks: Jay Cooke State Park Explore many of Duluth neighborhoods with stops at scenic overlooks known only to locals Tour Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, full of historical manuscripts all displayed in a historic church Enjoy a short walk through a neighborhood that is Duluth’s answer to Saint Paul's Summit Avenue Visit a church that has the largest collection of Tiffany windows in the Upper Midwest * See many other attractions and historic sites on our motorcoach tour throughout the city * Enjoy lunch at one of the more unique restaurants in Minnesota * Includes all admissions, tours, lunch & a bakery stop. Join Dakota artists Marlena Myles and Graci Horne as we travel through Southwestern Minnesota exploring Dakota history and culture. Stops include Traverse des Sioux & Treaty Site History Center in St. Peter, the 46th annual Wacipi (Powwow) at the Lower Sioux Agency with visits to their Cultural Arts Incubator & Historic Sites, Pipestone National Monument and Jeffers Petroglyphs. Marlena and Graci's stories will connect us with the history, land, people, present, and future as told from their Dakota perspective. SATURDAY: 7:45 am Board Motor Coach Bus 8:00 am Bus Departs Meet Motor Coach at Southwest High School located at 3414 W 47th Street, Mpls, MN 55410. Park in west lot located on Chowen Ave between 46th & 47th Streets. SUNDAY: Bus returns @ 6:30 pm Ages 18+ Price includes transportation, lodging, most meals and all tour admissions. Meal on your own: Sunday at the Powwow before returning to Minneapolis.
