Child Care for Emergency Personnel Families

As part of the Governor’s Executive Order for the closure of schools through May 4th, Richfield Public Schools is partnering with Richfield Fun Club school-age care to provide a temporary, free child care service to RPS students enrolled in PreK (age 4) through age 12 whose parents are a part of the emergency personnel category as identified by the Minnesota Department of Education. This includes, Tier 1 and Tier 2 workers.

See locations below. Choose the child care site of the school your child attends. Centennial Elementary should register for the RDLS location.
RPS staff choose the site you are assigned to work, if unknown choose STEM. Note: location may be be changed based on overall numbers.

Dates and times: Open from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday - Friday until May 1, 2020 (closed on Friday, April 3)

Meals: Breakfast and cold lunch will be provided to students. Families also have the option to send lunch from home with their child.

Transportation: Bus transportation is available following the typical school day schedule. If you need bus transportation you must complete registration 3 business days in advance. Your bus stop and time will be emailed to you prior to your start date. Indicate any need for bus transportation when you enroll.

How to enroll:

  1. Register at least 2 business days in advance of your child's start date
  2. All parents must complete forms and verify employment with an ID badge, employer letter, or other proof of eligibility as a Tier 1, Tier 2 or RPS worker.
  3. Online registrants choose your site below, complete the online questions. There will also be two forms and an ID verification to download and scan or email.
